● Bertrand Asscherickx (doctor of law, K.U. Leuven, graduate in notarial studies, K.U. Leuven, 1970) is an attorney-at-law at the Brussels bar and the managing partner of Racine & Vergels. He has been an assistant at the University of Brussels (UFSAL, 1970-71), a deputy judge in the Commercial Court of Brussels (1988-2006), a member of the Belgian Privacy Commission (1992-1997) and a lecturer at the KU Leuven (1999-2004). He has been President of the Brussels Bar Association (2002-2004) and President of the Federal Mediation Commission (2005-2007). He is also, since September 2008, Belgian representative with the CCBE (Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe).
● Johan Billiet is a member of the Bar of Brussels and a deputy judge with the Brussels Court of First Instance. He holds advanced degrees in Maritime Law (Belgium) and European Competition Law (Netherlands). He is the founder and president of AIA (Association for International Arbitration). He heads the practice of Billiet & Co, Brussels, where he focuses on commercial law, distribution and franchising, patent and trademark, arbitration, and bankruptcy law. From 1985 to 1991 he was lecturer in law at the Brussels Business School EHSAL. Johan Billiet has extensive expertise in international institutional and ad hoc arbitration and has functioned as an arbitrator and chairman in various arbitral tribunals since 1981. He is also an accredited mediator in civil and commercial matters in Belgium and the Netherlands. He is a member of ICC Paris, the Institute of Arbitration, the National Arbitration Forum Cepani-Cepina, the European Arbitration Chamber, the "Ligue internationale du droit de la concurrence" (International League of Competition Law) and the "Association Internationale pour la Protection de la Propriété Industrielle" (International Association for the Protection of Industrial Property). ● Dominique Blommaert is a member of the Bar of Brussels. He joined Janson Baugniet in 1994 and has been a partner since 1998. He graduated in law in 1988 and in history in 1987 from the University of Leuven and obtained a degree in economic law from the University of Brussels in 1989. Dominique Blommaert is scientific collaborator of the Financial Law Institute at the Ghent University since 1990. He heads the banking and finance department at Janson Baugniet, advising financial institutions on banking and financial law. He is a recognized expert in credit law, including consumer and mortgage credit law. He advises on the legal aspects of the creation of new financial and banking products, asset management, finance structures (often related to collaterals) and relating contractual aspects. ● Stephanie Blommaert

● Christa Cantieni Cunin (Rechtsanwältin, Universität Bern, LL.M. New York University, DES droit européen ULB Bruxelles, ICF certified Coach) was appointed as a Mediator for the Tenant Court of the City of Berne where she mediated conflicts between tenants and landlords. She worked as an in-house Counsel for Swisscom and was the General Counsel of Swisscom IT Services. After moving to Brussels she worked as an EU-Lobbyist. In 2008 she founded her private coaching & consultancy practice for lawyers and managers. She is dedicated to Leadership development. Christa Cantieni Cunin uses the Harvard concept of negotiations, active listening skills, NLP, TA and systemic approaches when she conducts coaching in cases of conflict.
● Arnaud David
● Astrid de Bandt (lic. iuris KUL 1996) was admitted to the Brussels bar in 2000 and qualified as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of England & Wales in 2001. She currently works as a legal consultant and her main practice areas are corporate and financial law. Her expertise includes shareholders' disputes and securities litigation. She successfully completed the EMTPJ (European mediation training for practitioners of justice) in 2012, which qualifies her to apply for accreditation as mediator in civil and commercial matters.
● Jean-Pierre de Bandt studied at the Facultés universitaires Notre-Dame de la Paix (FUNDP) from 1951-1953, after which he graduated in law at the Catholic University of Leuven in 1956. In 1959, he graduated in economics at the Catholic University of Leuven. He obtained a LL.M. at Harvard Law School in 1960. In 1961, he obtained a Licencié en sciences politiques et sociales at the Université catholique de Louvain. He started his career in 1961 as an associate at the Frank Boas Law Office, where he became a partner in 1966 and stayed until 1969. From 1964 until 1974, he was a lecturer at the University of Antwerp. In 1969, he was admitted to the Brussels Bar and founded the De Bandt law firm. From 1969 until 1999 he was Chairman and Managing Partner of the lawfirm De Bandt, van Hecke, Lagae & Loesch in Brussels. From 1999 until 2001 he was partner of De Bandt, van Hecke, Lagae & Loesch. Since 2002, he is partner and Senior Counsel of Linklaters De Bandt (Brussels). In addition he serves on the board of various non-profit organizations supporting musical causes. He is Chairman of the non-profit organization Mont des Arts. He has been for many years the chairman of the Brussels Philharmonic Society. He is honorary Chairman of the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel and Founder and honorary Chairman of the Coudenberg group.
● Jan Decorte (lic. iur., 1991, KUL, bac. phil., 1994, KUL) is a member of the Brussels bar since 1991. He is a partner in the corporate department of Koan Legal Strategies. He is a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England & Wales (since 1998). He is a board member of Interactive Advertising Bureau.Be (IAB Belgium).

● Elisabeth de Pitteurs de Budingen is a member of the Bar of Namur since 1986. She is also a substitute justice of the peace, and honorary consul of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
● Claude Devoet
● Jos Dumortier is Professor of ICT Law at the University of Leuven (Belgium) and the Director of the Interdisciplinary Research Centre for ICT and Law (ICRI) (www.icri.be). With his research team he participates in a series of European and national ICT-related R & D projects, in particular in the areas of privacy and identity management, information security and e-health. He is also a member of the Bar of Brussels and partner in Time.lex, a law firm specialized in information and technology law (www.timelex.eu). He participates in the boards of several national and international scientific and business associations and is a member of various editorial and program committees. He is the editor of the International Encyclopedia of Cyber Law and the author of more than one hundred books and articles on legal issues related to the information society.

● Frank Fleerackers, Lic.Iuris, B.Phil., LL.M., Ph.D., studied law and philosophy at KU Leuven University (B), Kings College (UK), MIT - Massachusetts Institute of Technology (US) and Harvard University (US); as a Harvard graduate professor Fleerackers obtained his Master of Laws degree with a thesis on legal analysis and negotiation from Harvard Law School (US). He is Professor of Law and Jurisprudence at KU Brussels University, Principles of Law at KU Leuven University, Arbitration/Negotiation at VU Brussels University; former Professor of ADR / Alternative Dispute Resolution at European Academy of Legal Theory, Visiting Scholar and Professor at international universities including Harvard and MIT, Cambridge, and Tilburg. Prof. dr. F. Fleerackers is Commissioner of the High Council of Justice and sits on the Judicial Appointments Commission; former Dean of the Law Faculty (KU Brussels), he also presides the Association of Flemish Academics. A business lawyer and attorney, Frank Fleerackers is former President of the Brussels Bar Vlaams Pleitgenootschap association, as well as former member of the Brussels and National Bar Councils.
